Outdoor Trap (No Attractant) IL-1200
This trapping device is a standard when monitoring for flying insect populations outdoors or within industrial warehouses. This sturdy trap is constructed of corrugated plastic to repel water or exposure to other physical damage when placed outdoors or in warehouses, food manufacturing facilities or storage rooms. The Outdoor Trap will not attract insects by itself, it must be paired with a pheromone lure that attracts the insects to it. Insects that are attracted to the lure are readily stuck to the replaceable glue insert placed in the bottom of the trap.

Outdoor Trap (No Attractant) Product Description
This trapping device is a standard when monitoring for flying insect populations outdoors or within industrial warehouses. This sturdy trap is constructed of corrugated plastic to repel water or exposure to other physical damage when placed outdoors or in warehouses, food manufacturing facilities or storage rooms. The Outdoor Trap will not attract insects by itself, it must be paired with a pheromone lure that attracts the insects to it. Insects that are attracted to the lure are readily stuck to the replaceable glue insert placed in the bottom of the trap.
Features and Benefits
The Outdoor Trap will repel rainwater and protect the paper/glue insert and the pheromone lure (purchased separately) inside the trap. It will hold up when exposed to direct sunlight. A heavy wire hangar can attach the trap to posts, fences, trees or any solid protrusion.
What to Expect
When you open this kit box, you will find the folded traps, the wire hangars and the sticky inserts banded together along with an Instruction Sheet showing how to assemble the traps.
The traps will need to be pulled apart and folded into place, by hand following the enclosed instructions in the box. Each of the two ends of the wire hangars will need to be run through the two metal eyelets at the top of the trap and folded back to secure the trap to the wire. The paper glue insert (IL-1250) will need to be removed from the stack of inserts, unfolded and then slid into the flat bottom on the inside of the trap. The sticky surface should be directed upwards. When you are ready to use this product, your lures (purchased separately) should be removed from their packaging and placed on their sides into the center of the bottom portion of the glue in each trap. The traps are then ready to be placed outdoors and secured to any solid fixture using the opposite end of the hanger. Placement outdoors should be at least 50 feet (15 meters) away from any doors leading into the building to prevent accidentally drawing insects into the building. Traps can also be spaced out throughout indoor spaces to monitor for flying pests.
These traps will give you the information that you need to reduce or remove your pest issue. Outdoor pheromone traps will indicate whether or not native populations of the target pest are present and whether they are posing a risk to the stored products inside. If the glue from the trap accidentally gets onto your hands, it is not toxic and can be easily washed off using soap and warm water.
How Was the Product Tested
We first start with intense lab testing. Our entomology lab has 1x1 meter arenas set up where we actively attempt to create an environment the insect will not want to leave. We give them everything they need, but we also present them with the opportunity to travel to our trap and the attractant inside.
If our attractant and trap can pull the insect out of the optimal environment in the lab then we are ready to test the devices in the field (indoors) as well as outdoors. We have created relationships with some of the best pest control operators in the industry. We trust these PCOs to test our products thoroughly and give us honest feedback. If we receive not only positive feedback, but feedback that our product works better than the other's products, then we are ready to take our design to manufacturing and make it available to everyone.
